The World Igbo Congress, or WIC, has requested assistance from the international community in order to help Nigeria resolve an alleged electoral fraud that was allegedly carried out via the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System or BVAS.
The Igbo diaspora argued that in order to preserve Nigeria from an impending catastrophe, the world’s nations must help Nigeria navigate its convoluted 2023 presidential election process and assist the nation in extracting each polling unit’s results right away.
Hon. Basil Onwukwe, the organization’s public relations officer, stated that the WIC supports the patriotic Igbo natives’ will to free their homeland from enemies who have kept Nigeria in poverty.
“We shun any form of intimidation or threats to Igbo citizens anywhere in the world, from Abuja to Lagos to Sokoto the time of turning the next check is over and you must stand your ground.
“Now is the time to keep the pressure not only on political oligarchy who are working against our interest and the survival of our homeland. You must vote against our local leaders who are compromised and working for their political Godfatherism and patronage against the aspiration of the Igbo people, use the election to show the world where you stand, says the Group’s PRO, Hon. Basil Onwukwe
