The All Progressives Congress crisis in Taraba State took a dramatic turn on Tuesday when Chief David Sabo Kente, one of the party’s candidates for governor in the general election of 2023, was expelled over alleged anti-party activities by the El-Suldi Ibrahim-led State Working Committee.
Additionally, the party recommended to the National Secretariat that David Jimkuta, the senator-elect for Taraba South Senatorial District, be expelled from the party due to his anti-party activities.
Speaking at a press conference in Jalingo, the party’s chairman, Ibrahim El-Suldi, also mentioned that he was still in charge of the organization as a result of the committee’s recommendation to look into the alleged vote of no confidence that some State Working Committee members purportedly passed against him.
