On Saturday, the Israeli military announced that five soldiers had been killed during clashes in the Gaza Strip with Palestinian fighters. According to the Israeli Ynet news website, the military released a statement stating that four soldiers were killed in a booby-trapped tunnel in Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, while the fifth soldier was killed in battles in the northern region.
Since the beginning of ground operations on October 27th, the number of Israeli soldiers killed in Gaza has risen to 43. The Israeli army is currently engaged in intense battles with Palestinian resistance groups in various areas throughout Gaza.
Israel has been carrying out relentless air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip, targeting hospitals, residential areas, and places of worship, ever since an attack by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, on October 7th.
The number of Palestinian casualties continues to rise, with a reported 11,078 Palestinians killed, including 4,506 children and 3,027 women. Official figures suggest that the Israeli death toll stands at nearly 1,200.
