In Kenya most Men in their 20s and 30s are suffered from sexual violence aged 20 to 24 are the biggest victims, the new Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (KDHS) 2022 has revealed.
The statistics revealed that 6.9 percent of men aged between 15 and 54 years have suffered from sexual violence at some point in their life, the KDHS shows, adding that 3.7 percent of the men reported having suffered sexual violence within a year to the survey.
The KDHS survey shows that despite men suffering from sexual violence compared to women, different age groups of men suffer at varied rates. The youth population is more likely to be abused sexually.
