People have stormed to the street in reaction to the released video of Tyre Nichols, where he was beaten fatally by the Memphis police, in New York.
People have shown their grievances with the release of the video by embarking on a quick demonstration, as the video portrayed an act of injustice against Nichols.
Demonstrators were seen taking over the bridge connecting Tennessee and Arkansas, as they seek to march to the Memphis police station where the assault was taken against the deceased Nichols.
In reaction to the protest, both the US officials and the Nichols family have called for peaceful protest among residents, urging them against any act of violence.
Nichols’s mother denounce the injustice against her son but appealed to protesters to protest peacefully should they care about her cause.
The US President, Joe Biden in a statement released condoled Nichols’s family and also called for peaceful protest.
“I join Mr. Nichols’s family In calling for peaceful protest,” Biden said.
Protesters are seen holding banners with the inscription ‘Stop the war on Black America!’.
