In an effort to secure investments in energy and infrastructure and boost trade, Bola Tinubu, the President of Nigeria, will embark on a trip to Berlin this Saturday to attend the G20 Compact with Africa conference, as announced by his office.
The conference, headed by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, aims to enhance economic and business cooperation between African nations and G20 countries, as stated by spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale in a press release.
During his visit, Tinubu will also participate in the fourth G20 Investment Summit, co-hosted by the German government, where he will advocate for Nigeria as a highly promising investment destination, Ngelale further added.
In order to revitalize its economy, which is weighed down by sluggish growth, substantial debt levels, double-digit inflation, foreign currency shortages, and rampant theft of its primary export, crude oil, Nigeria seeks to stimulate economic growth through means other than relying solely on debt.
