Nigerian government under Buhari’s administration has profiled 3,000 terrorism cases, as declared by Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN in Abuja, during the 17th Edition of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Administration Scorecard Series on Thursday.
Over 3000 cases were profiled, FG has been able to secure 297 convictions, presenting 7000 profiled cases and various other offences including maritime, armed robbery, vandalisation of electrical equipment and pipelines, financial matters and cybercrime.
Malami says, that FG is currently coordinating the next stage of terrorism-related prosecutions in collaboration with the Federal High Court, the Legal Aid Council, and the Defence Headquarters.
The insecurity becomes woes in the country, last week gunmen involved in the abduction of 31 Edo train passengers on have reportedly demanded N620 million ransom.
