The delivery date for the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway reconstruction/rehabilitation Project is slated for April 30, despite the fact that three of the 43.6 km of Section One’s development could not be finished because of severe rain and other issues.
The revelation was revealed on Saturday night during a phone conversation with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by Mr. Umar Bakare, the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State.
Even though the contractor had been working hard to achieve the delivery deadline of April 30, he claimed that three kilometers of the Otedola Bridge’s surrounding area remained under construction.
He claimed that in addition to the area’s frequent severe rainstorms slowing down development, the project was also negatively hampered by its high automobile and pedestrian traffic.
