The Indian air force has reported the incident of two fighter jets that collided mid-air during an exercise south of New Delhi on Saturday.
It was disclosed that one of the pilots, who flew the Mirage 2000 lost his life as a result of the crash, while the Sukhoi Su-30 pilot escaped the attack.
The collision transpired doing routine military exercises near the city of Gwalior.
Investigation into the cause of the accident has begun, tweeted IAF.
The crash is among the series of accidents that have occurred to the Indian military air fleet, with many officers including Defense Chief Gen Bipin Rawat among the fatalities of the accidents.
