According to the Igbo Elders Consultative Forum, anyone calling for a sit-in or boycott of the general elections will be treated as an enemy of the Igbo nation.
The forum stated on Wednesday that since Nigeria’s independence in 1960, 2023 is the best chance for the South-East to produce the country’s president.
The Igbo Elders, which included former Police Service Commission Chairman Chief Simeon Okeke, former Anambra State Governor Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, and a senior lecturer in the Department of Public Administration at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Prof. Charles Nwekeaku, issued the warning during a press conference in Abuja.
