Shehu Sani, a former senator for Kaduna Central, has disclosed strategies for defending traditional leaders from the governors of their respective states.
On Twitter, Sani argued that traditional leaders needed constitutional protection to maintain their independence.
Sani asserted that monarchs, including emirs, obas, and other monarchs, would continue to live at the whim of governors in the absence of such constitutional protection.
It was said that governors, who have complete discretion over their appointment and removal, rule over kings in their numerous communities.
No matter how exalted, powerful, or influential they may be, monarchs are always wary of their governors’ wrath since they could order their suspension or complete removal.
