A former employee at Meta identified as Ferras Hamad has sued the tech company of Biasness regarding information about the war in Gaza.
Hamad who worked for Meta is suing the company for discrimination, wrongful dismissal, and other related issues regarding the incident that led to Meta firing him in February.
He added that he was sacked by Meta for trying to address a bugs issue suppressing Palestinian Instagram posts.
Hamad said Meta is purposely displaying bias against Palestinians, adding that the company intentionally deleted internal employee communications mentioning the deaths of relatives in Gaza and investigated employees’ use of the Palestinian flag emoji.
Hamad stressed the bias against Palestinians is deeply rooted as the social media content moderation is only related to Palestinians, not Israel or Ukraine in the same context.
