In the hamlet of Amqui in northern Quebec, Canada, a pick-up truck crashed into pedestrians, leaving two people dead and nine severely injured.
After handing himself in to authorities, the car’s 38-year-old local driver was taken into custody.
The incident’s intentionality is currently being investigated by investigators.

Around 15:00 (19:00 GMT), police were summoned to the most recent incident in response to reports of a van colliding with pedestrians.
A man in his 70s and another man in his 60s are believed to have been killed. Children are among the injured being treated at the nearby hospital, according to Canadian media reports.
