It Eid al-Fitr: In commemorating the Ramadan Fasting, Muslim faithful all over the world today will come out in large masses to celebrate the Salah as a means of ending this year’s fasting.
The sighting of the moon marks the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Shawwal. Once the moon was sighted, it enjoined all Muslims both males and females to gather and celebrate together, in other to spread love and unity among Muslims.
Eid Adha as connotatively called it, is one of the two major festivals in Islam, is an avenue where Muslims are gathered together to celebrate and merry together after a long day of fasting from dawn to dust.
Eid Adha according to all verified sources of Islam, was mandatory to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) ummah by the Almighty to bring them together in celebration, while most Muslims are advised to go out in their best clothes to show the beauty of Islam.
According to the Holy Prophet, some of the to-do lists of Muslim faithful who are financially buoyant enough is the paying of Zakat Fitr (a few percentages of their wealth) to the less privileged or poorer Muslims among them, this act is done to cleanse and complement their fasting from any shortcomings, and also to give the poor the opportunity to be able to enjoy the privileged of Eid celebration.
The Zakat is axiomatically allowed to be done before the commencement of the Eid prayer, another to-do list of the Muslim Ummah today is the continuous chanting of Takbeer so as to glorify the Almighty of His bounty on them, going to the Eid prayer in a large mass, using of perfumes only for the male and other necessary Sunnah of the Prophet.
Muslims are enjoined to use this blessed day to pray for relatively peace for the Muslims and the world entirely, to be a safe haven for them.
