Ovie Omo-Agege, the Deputy Senate President, has been urged by the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party to concede defeat in Delta state governorship election held on Saturday.
According to reports, Sheriff Oborevwori, the People’s Democratic Party’s candidate for governor and Speaker of the state House of Assembly, defeated Omo-Agege, the APC’s nominee.
Oborevwori received 360,234 votes, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission, defeating Omo-Agege, who received 240,229 votes.
The PDP urged Omo-Agege to accept the election’s results and extend congratulations to Oborevwori in a statement released on Monday by Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu.
