Cristiano Ronaldo was absent for Manchester united derby match against Manchester City where the former team was annihilated by their neighbour 4-1 due to an injury he sustained a few hours to the match
However, the united talisman has returned to training as revealed by the manager, Raf Rangnick.
In his word, the united interim coach said: “He resumed training yesterday. He trained the whole training session and I expect him to be in training today as well.”
“He trained well so I would’ve thought he’s available for tomorrow”
Last weekend, Rangnick said that Cristiano Ronaldo was absent from their last match against city due to a hip injury.
However, Roy Keane, former Manchester United captain who serve as a pundit for sky sport had a counter thought on Ronaldo’s absence from the match.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s absence from the derby was just the second match Cristiano Ronaldo has missed so far this season.
After the veteran striker has been declared to be fit again and ready to play for the upcoming match against spurs this weekend, the United manager is not clear on whether or not the united talisman is happy to be back.
When asked about the player’s reaction on if he is happy to be back or not, the manager said: “well, I don’t know, I haven’t asked him if he’s happy at Manchester and this club”
“For me, it’s important that he’s fit again and that he resumed training yesterday”
“We will see with which formation and with which line-up we are going to play the game tomorrow”
