Following the action of Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir for stepping into the Al-Aqsa mosque, both China and UAE have called for an immediate meeting of the UN Security Council to condemn the act.
The actions of Ben-Gvir have met with worldwide criticism as the government of Palestine tagged the deliberate action of the Israeli minister as an unprecedented provocation.
The trip has been pronounced by the Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammed Shtayyeh as part of the agenda of the Israelis to turn the sacred place into a Jewish shrine.
The recent development has been regarded as hostilities and crossing the red line of the Palestinian which is a deliberate action from Ben-Gvir.
Given global condemnation, the representatives of China and UAE have summoned an immediate UN Security Council meeting to denounce the actions of the Israelis.
Reacting to the incident, Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday disclosed that, his government is committed to strictly maintaining the status quo, without changes, on the Temple Mount (Al-Aqsa Mosque compound).
The Israeli opposition party had condemned the action, saying it was a deliberate provocation that will put lives in danger.
It is disclosed that the Council is expected to meet on Thursday following the ensuing actions from the Israelis Security Minister.
