After conducting nationwide operations to thwart an alleged murder and kidnapping plot, Brazil’s federal police have detained nine suspected members of a criminal organization.
The proposals included a number of politicians and well-known individuals as targets, according to the police.
It was also rumored that Senator Sergio Moro, a former judge who oversaw Brazil’s biggest-ever corruption prosecution, was the target.
According to police sources, the gang was connected to the biggest criminal organization in Brazil.
