The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has claimed that the opposition is intentionally organizing large-scale protests against President Bola Tinubu’s government, using the excuse of protesting against the rising living expenses in the country.
In a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, the APC said that in their clear desperation to make the APC-led government look bad, opposition parties have started encouraging unaware young people to protest in the streets of certain big cities.
The APC stated that the protests that occurred in Minna and Kano on Monday were the result of this deceitful and unpatriotic scheme.
The ruling Party said that the administration led by President Bola Tinubu is fully committed to doing everything possible to reduce the temporary difficulties caused by important reforms that are necessary for Nigeria’s economic recovery and long-term prosperity for all Nigerians.
The APC says that the fact that the protests occurred at the same time in both cities is not a coincidence. It shows that it was planned and coordinated to create chaos and undermine the government. This opposition strategy is a serious threat to public peace and national security.
