Ukraine Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyi was among the victims of the helicopter crash that occurred during the early morning of Wednesday in a suburban area near Kyiv.
It was disclosed that a total number of 18 people were reported dead with 3 children among them, while a total number of 29 people were injured, including 15 children.
The accident was said to have occurred near a kindergarten and residential building in Brovary, as confirmed by the Kyiv Regional Governor Oleksii Kuleba.
Among the fatalities includes, Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskyi, his deputy Yevhen Yenin, and State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yurii Lubkovych.
The Ukraine National Police Chief, Ihor Klymenko disclosed that nine of the dead victims of the accident were aboard the helicopter.
Investigation as to the cause of the crash is going, as Russia has yet to claim responsibility for the attack.
