The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC refuted a report that said it would hold additional elections in addition to the Saturday governorship and state House of Assembly elections.
Festus Okoye, National Commissioner of INEC and Chairperson of the Information and Voter Education Committee, announced on Friday that the date for the follow-up elections to the February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections would be set.
Okoye did point out that the gubernatorial and state Assembly elections would take place concurrently with the two National Assembly elections that had previously been suspended by the panel and rescheduled for a number of reasons in the states of Enugu and Edo.
