Day after China completed her 4 days military exercise on the Strait of Taiwan in response to Pelosi’s visit to the Island, President Biden assure that not much deeper from China on Taiwan could be witnessed soon.
In an official first report by President Biden since Pelosi’s visit, he reiterated his view on his calm nerves that he wasn’t worried about China, and that anything they can do can’t go beyond the current activities done at present.
Undermining President Xi’s warning of getting burnt while playing with fire on one China policy, the U.S President couldn’t stop the mounting pressure from averting Pelosi to the island whom Beijing considered as a breach of their “One United China.”
After lightening the emblem of war in eastern Europe between Russia and Ukraine over the membership of the latter into NATO, a proposal that Russia perceived as a security threat to its existence has left the country in a devastating situation.
With the United States trying to pull another string by giving confidence to Taiwan against the second military spending country in the world, it would be good in the interest of all Taiwanese to remain neutral in order not to be faced with another Ukraine situation along the strait.
While the U.S didn’t feel remorseful for Pelosi’s visit, insisting that she decided to make it, they have started to condemn the response to China as provocative and irresponsible.
Despite finishing the military drill along the Strait of Taiwan, the next move of China remains uncertain as President Xi is hell-bent on mounting bigger pressure on Taiwan against their choice of interest.
While China remains resolute on maintaining the “One-China Policy”, it became visible with their reaction that they could go to any extent in maintaining their territorial integrity.
And in seeing to that, China is ready to go rampant just like Russia to maintain her position by consecutively mounting pressure on the international community to call the U.S to order not to go extreme on affirming Taiwan’s independence.
