Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his New Year address condemned the recent air attack on the country by a Russian missile.
President Zelenskyy in the video stressed that “Today, this Russia missile attack is not the end of the year, no matter how much the terrorists want it. It’s the outcome of Russia’s fate.”
In his speech, President Zelenskyy said, the attack on the country by the terrorist state and its leader won’t be forgiven and pardoned.
Reminiscing the first attack on Ukraine by Russia in February, Zelenskyy said, it was shocking but yet, it had given them the vigor to continue fighting against the Russians.
Reporting the incident, the Mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko said, explosions were heard 30 minutes into New Year as a result of the Russian attack.
President Zelenskyy denounced the act of Russia attacking the sacred as one against the doctrine preached by Christians, which the Russians claimed to be.
It was reported that one person was killed as a result of the attack in the western Solomianskyi district of the city, while a foreign journalist was among the wounded.
