First evacuation flight from the UK carrying British citizens has landed in Cyprus.
As the military works to evacuate hundreds of people during a 72-hour ceasefire, more flights are anticipated tonight and on Wednesday.
According to information provided to the BBC, 39 passengers were on the first flight, with a total of 260 anticipated to land tonight.
UK nationals who are stranded have been instructed to travel independently and unaccompanied to an airport close to Khartoum.
According to the government, priority is being given to families with children, the elderly, and those with medical issues on RAF aircraft departing from an airstrip close to the capital Khartoum.
