Russia has intensified its attack into the heart of Ukraine with its recent missile attack which struck the city of Vinnytsia in central Ukraine, leaving the death toll to 23, as reported by Aljazeera.
The attack on Vinnytsia city came as a result of Russia’s continued attack on the interior of the Donbas region, a region perceived to be Russian-dominated.
According to a report from Kyiv, President Zelenskyy has condemned the attack on the city and attributed the recent attack as an “act of terrorism” on the side of the Russians, citing its farness from the war front line.
In an official address by President Zelenskyy to European officials sitting at Hague to discuss the war crimes by the Russian military stated that “there were eight rockets, two of which hit the center of the city, leaving twenty adult death, including three children with a large number of wounded people.”
The attack by Russia has been condemned and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres described the attack on the city as an atrocity against humanity that left him devastated.
The European Union have also made negative remarks about the Russians for their attack on innocent civilians citing that, the Russians must be made accountable for their crimes.
The war crimes tribunal has been set up by the ICC to look into the investigation of crimes by Russia in Ukraine and gather evidence as to the veracity of crimes by the Russian military.
According to statistics, thousands of people have been killed, cities destroyed and millions displaced as refugees since the Russian incursion.
Report from the Kremlin state that, should Kyiv be ready to resume peace negotiations, Moscow would respond positively to their request for a peace talk.
