Three individuals suspected to be members of cult groups lost their lives last Saturday during a clash in Rivers State.
The clash reportedly occurred as a result of a supremacy battle between the Greenland and Iceland cult groups and took place on the East-West Road section of Ahoada East Local Government Area.
A source, who preferred to remain anonymous, revealed that the clash resulted in the deaths of the suspected cultists.
The situation was eventually brought under control by the Ahoada East Police Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, and his team, who intervened.
However, the Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, said the shooting was a result of rivalry between two cult groups.
The source said the battle-ready policemen that arrived at the scene gave the hoodlums a serious chase.
