Moldova President Maia Sandu on Friday signed a decree to begin ascension talk into the European Union from next week.
President Sandu following a meeting of the National Commission for European Integration wrote “Today I signed a decree on the start of negotiations on Moldova’s accession to the European Union.
Moldova has implemented all the recommendations of the European Commission”, she said.
She stressed that the negotiations on the accession will start on June 25 at the first Moldova-EU intergovernmental conference.
President Sanda said Moldova aims to become a full member of the European Union by 2030 saying thousands of people in government institutions are behind the efforts to modernize the country.
She added that Moldova’s ascension into the European Union was the only way for their development.
