The top Igbo sociocultural group, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo General Assembly Worldwide, claimed that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, will not be elected in 2023.
The group also praised Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the winner and president-elect of the All Progressives Congress in the presidential election that was held on February 25, 2023, on Saturday.
This was announced in a statement released on Sunday by Ambassador Tony Chiemelu Obizoba, Director General, Implementation and Strategic Planning, Ohanaeze Ndigbo General Assembly Worldwide.
Ohanaeze also expressed faith in Tinubu as a competent democrat who can carry on President Muhammadu Buhari’s remarkable accomplishments when he takes office on May 29, 2023.
