Nigeria’s National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested not less than 64 suspects with illicit drugs in Sokoto. The 64 suspects including 7 drug sellers were arrested by the NDLEA forces after raiding a hotel in Sokoto.
Mr. Muhammad Iro, the NDLEA Commandant, gave an account of the operation to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday that more than 517 kilograms of illicit drugs were seized from the suspects.
Mr. Iro added that the raid is part of the efforts to tackle criminal elements before the general election and the command would sensitize all hotel operators in the state on the need to evaluate their customer’s details and their activities in their facilities
