There was tension in Delta when angry residents took to the street and major roads over the naira crisis in the country.
To vent their anger over the Naira scarcity crowd populace set a bank ablaze at Udu express junction, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State. They also destroyed some campaign billboards. The reports show that the scarcity of the newly-redesigned naira notes and the rejection of the old notes as legal tender triggered the protest.
Meanwhile, the police have mounted roadblocks around the DSC Town to stop angry protesters from setting ablaze any government property in the state.
