India’s merchandise exports have witnessed remarkable growth, rising by 1% to $34.99 billion in April 2024 compared to $34.62 billion in the same month last year.
Additionally, the country’s service exports reached $29.57 billion, contributing to a combined total of $35 billion in exports.
Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal announced this positive trend, highlighting the resilience of India’s export sector. He further projected that the total exports of goods and services for the current fiscal year are expected to surpass the record achieved in 2023-24, reaching an impressive $778.2 billion.
