President Muhammad Buhari said in his farewell national broadcast on Sunday morning that he was confident that he would be leaving his office with Nigeria better in 2023 than he did in 2015.
“I am confident that I will be able to leave Nigeria better in 2023 than in 2015. I want to thank you all for your support. And may god bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Buhari said. He also praised millions of Nigerians who prayed and supported him during his time in office’s first term.
The president said he is always praying for those who contributed to the success of Nigeria and the country’s prosperity.
“I also want to take this opportunity to express appreciation to a good number of Nigerians who gave their help and encouragement to me throughout this exciting journey to help me move Nigeria forward,” he said.
