The Independent National Electoral Commission was criticized by the All Progressives Congress in Kebbi State on Sunday for pronouncing the state’s governorship election to be inconclusive.
The APC contended that INEC erred by proclaiming Dr. Nasir Idris the winner of the governorship rather than declaring the poll inconclusive.
Alhaji Abubakar Gari, the deputy director-general of the APC Governorship Campaign Council in the state, protested the choice on Sunday in Abuja.
According to reports, INEC Returning Officer Prof. Yusuf Sa’idu declared the results inconclusive last week due to widespread vote tampering and excessive voting in 20 of the state’s 21 local government areas.
