Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, issued a statement shortly after Israeli forces released hostages Noa Argamani, Andrey Kozlov, Shlomi Ziv, and Almog Meir on Saturday.
In his statement, Haniyeh emphasized Hamas’s stance, asserting that the organization would not yield or capitulate to external pressure.
He reaffirmed Hamas’s commitment to its goals and objectives, despite the recent events. This declaration underscores Hamas’s determination and resilience in the face of challenges and conflicts with Israeli forces.
“Our people will not surrender, and the resistance will persist in defending our rights against this criminal enemy,” Haniyeh stated. He added, “If the occupation thinks it can enforce its agenda through force, it is mistaken. The movement will only accept agreements that prioritize the security of our people.”
The Hamas leader added that the Israeli military was carrying out massacres against the Palestinian people in Gaza. He said, ” Israel continues the massacres against our people, children, and women, the chapters of which are now taking place in Nuseirat and Deir al-Balah.”
Following the successful release of the hostages, the IDF reported that the rescue operation occurred in two separate locations within central Nuseirat.
