According to the presidency, President Muhammad Buhari’s administration has given state governments more than n2 trillion in bailout funds. According to the bailout, it would help them meet their wage and pension obligations, particularly in the face of declining oil revenues.
The presidential communications team released a fact sheet highlighting Buhari’s government’s achievements in various sectors between 2015 and 2023.
According to the survey, the state governments were given N614 billion in funding assistance; $5.4 billion in Paris club refunds; N700 billion in infrastructure loans & refunds; and a reduction in the debt service burden of N575.5 billion.
The Buhari administration’s anti-corruption drive, it said, had resulted in more than N210 billion in recoveries from overburdened, misappropriated, and misappropriated personnel budgets and capital expenditures.
