Timipre Sylva, a former minister of state for petroleum resources and an APC candidate for governor in Bayelsa State, claims the accusations of certificate forgery against him are only an effort to “dampen” his political ambitions.
This was said in a statement released on Wednesday by Horatius Egua, his media assistant, and headed, “We Will Not Allow Blackmailers Destroy Sylva’s Name.”
According to the statement, Chief Timipre Sylva has been the target of several attacks and smear campaigns in the media over the last few months, in which he has been wrongly accused of a variety of offenses, including certificate fraud and defamation.
