The governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has threatened to reduce the pay of employees who skip work on Mondays designated as “sit-at-home” days.
Insisting that this cannot go on, Soludo claimed that the Monday sit-at-home has turned into a justification for employees to stop reporting to work on Mondays.
He made these remarks to the state employees on Monday at the 2023 May Day celebration in Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.
The governor begged the employees to start returning to work on Mondays by giving them a 10% pay raise in December.
