The Ukrainian forces have conducted counteroffensive operations in multiple sections of the front and have made progress near the city of Bakhmut, as per the Washington-based think tank Institute of Study of War (ISW).
Geolocated footage indicates their advancement near Pryyutne in the Donetsk-Zaporizhia Oblast border area. Russian sources claim that Ukrainian forces continued their assaults near Klishchiivka, Kurdyumivka, and Andriivka south of Bakhmut. Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials reported counteroffensive operations in the Donetsk-Zaporizhia Oblast border area and western Zaporizhia Oblast.
On Sunday, Serhiy Cherevatyi, the spokesperson for the eastern military command, stated that Ukraine’s defense forces are maintaining the upper hand and conducting assault operations in the Bakhmut sector. They have been successful in recapturing their land step by step, engaging in seven battles that resulted in the elimination of 44 enemy forces and injuring 118 others.
Additionally, they destroyed an anti-tank missile system, three enemy field ammunition depots, and a Murom-M surveillance system. Cherevatyi also mentioned that the enemy’s attempts to seize the initiative in the Lyman-Kupyansk direction have been unsuccessful due to the effective actions of their headquarters, commanders, and personnel on the ground.
The enemy’s continuous movement of forces and resources, along with rotations from Russia and occupied territories, is attributed to the dynamics of the battles they are facing.
