28 bodies were found in Nouna in northwest Burkina faso over the weekend. The government has not yet determined the cause and the perpetrators of the act.

The government spokesman said the tragedy occurred at a time Burkina Faso engaged in the operation of mobilizing people for unity action against terrorism in the country.
Most of the victims were male and the lack of confidence in government leadership to abort the extremist violence. Furthermore the violence against Fulani community was increased in the country since the country’s new junta leader, Capt. Ibrahim Traore, seized power in September, some rights groups declared.
