Ukraine President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s tweet where he called for the de-escalation of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine and to settle for a peace deal.
Following the Tesla CEO’s controversial tweet on a peaceful negotiation to end the war in Ukraine, he has been a subject of criticism globally for his stance on the ongoing war.
Elon Musk in his tweet writes, “Russia is doing partial mobilization. They go to full war mobilization if Crimea is at risk. Death on both sides will be devastating.
Russia has >3 times the population of Ukraine, so victory for Ukraine is unlikely in total war. If you care about the people of Ukraine, seek peace.”
Reacting to the tweet, the Tesla CEO has been subjected to criticism from many of his followers worldwide, while some stand with his view on a peace deal as a panacea to end the lingering war.
The Ukrainian President through his official Twitter account was also among those who have their say on Elon Musk’s tweet, the President conducted an online poll where he asked “The Elon Musk that supports Ukraine or Russia” which one is the best.
Thousands of people participated in the online poll, with public opinion remaining in favour of Elon Musk supporting Ukraine.
Elon Musk through his Starlink network has been pivotal to the Ukrainian officials in disseminating information after Russia shut down network access in the country.
With the help of Elon Musk Starlink, Ukraine has been able to cut down and tap the Russian network, and they have been able to track and trace the Russian network in the technology war.
Despite his enormous contribution in seeing to the victory of Ukraine against Russia, many have labelled him (Elon Musk) as a narcissist, while some tagged him as Pro-Moscow, but the Tesla CEO has affirmed his commitment as a Pro-Ukraine, and he hopes the longing war would come to an end soon for humanity sake.
