Close to 25 people have been reported dead, while 120 others have been recorded injured as a result of a bomb blast in a mosque in Pakistan.
According to a local report, the incident occurred in Peshawar in northwestern Pakistan, where several people are dead, while many others are trapped inside the rubble of the collapsed building.
It was disclosed that the suspect known as a suicide bomber was the perpetrator of the attack on the mosque during afternoon prayer.
The majority of the injured people are said to be in serious condition as a result of the attacks.
The rescue mission is ongoing at the site of the incident, as the Peshawar deputy commissioner said, the utmost priority now is to rescue those trapped inside the building.
The Pakistani Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif condemned the attack targeting a religious center, saying harsh measures shall be put in place for those behind the attack.
The incident happened Monday 30, January during afternoon prayer inside the mosque located at the compound housing the headquarters of the provincial police force and counter-terrorism department.
