Gora, a decentralized blockchain oracle network with multichain capabilities, has joined Google’s prestigious Web3 Startup Program, according to a recent announcement. This partnership marks a significant step forward for Gora as it aims to enhance its platform and contribute to the broader decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.
Oracles like Gora play a crucial role in the blockchain space by providing external data to smart contracts, bridging the gap between siloed blockchain networks and traditional systems. This functionality is essential for decentralized applications (DApps) that require real-world data to operate effectively.
As part of the Google Web3 Startup Program, Gora will receive $200,000 in Google Cloud credits to support its development and expansion efforts. The program, an initiative of Google Cloud, provides Web3 projects with technological resources and support, including access to Google’s security measures and a team of world-class engineers.
The partnership will enable Gora to leverage Google Cloud’s infrastructure to enhance data and asset security, while also benefiting from networking opportunities with other Web3 startups and industry experts. This collaboration is expected to drive the development of new products and services and facilitate the onboarding of Web2 companies to the Web3 space.
In addition to its collaboration with Google, Gora has secured support from other blockchain projects, including Starknet. The Ethereum-based layer-2 scaling solution has awarded Gora a seed grant to deploy its oracle solutions on Starknet’s scalable and secure infrastructure, which aims to improve data reliability and efficiency.
Gora has also launched an NFT collection, GoraBots, in collaboration with Shufl Labs. The collection includes 870 unique NFTs that offer tangible rewards and voting rights in the upcoming GoraDAO governance system, set to launch by the end of 2024. Each GoraBot NFT is backed by GORA tokens, which can be staked to earn rewards and contribute to network security.
The project’s growing momentum has also led to its selection as a community partner for TOKEN2049 Singapore 2024, an annual event expected to feature around 400 exhibitors and attract over 20,000 attendees.
Since its mainnet launch about a year ago, Gora has expanded to 139 active nodes and generated $100,000 in annual revenue. With new partnerships and an expanding presence on prominent blockchains, Gora continues to enhance its offerings and support diverse projects with reliable data feeds.
