Fetch.ai, a leading member of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance, has announced the opening of its Innovation Lab in San Francisco, marking a significant investment in the development of real-world AI solutions. Along with the lab’s launch, Fetch.ai has committed $10 million annually to fund startups that utilize its technology to create practical AI applications.
The new lab aims to accelerate the creation of AI-driven solutions through the use of AI agents, a core focus of Fetch.ai’s technology. The initiative will include funding opportunities, a startup accelerator program, an Ambassador Innovator Club, and an internship incubator to foster innovation and collaboration.
Fetch.ai CEO Humayun Sheikh emphasized that the lab will be a hub for collaboration among top talents from academia, research, and industry. “Our mission is to unite world-class institutions, research teams, and businesses in a collaborative environment that not only nurtures innovation but also accelerates the development of impactful, AI-driven solutions,” Sheikh said.
The lab’s goal is to support projects that bridge the gap between research and market, with a focus on delivering AI solutions that can revolutionize various industries. “We aim to fund and support projects that bridge the gap between research and market, delivering tangible advancements that revolutionize industries through the power of AI agents,” Sheikh added.
The Innovation Lab will also host workshops, events, and talks to educate the community about AI agents and showcase successful applications of the technology.
Founded in 2017, Fetch.ai’s mission is to democratize access to AI by creating an open network that enables autonomous software agents to perform tasks on behalf of individuals and organizations.
Earlier this year, Fetch.ai partnered with Deutsche Telekom through its foundation to integrate AI and blockchain, enhancing security and efficiency across multiple sectors. In March, Fetch.ai, SingularityNET, and Ocean Protocol formed the Superintelligence Alliance, aiming to create a decentralized AI ecosystem and democratize AI research. The launch of the San Francisco lab represents a key step in advancing these goals.
