Western countries have sent an alarming message to both China and India to warn Russian President, Vladimir Putin in his attempt of going nuclear in his war with Ukraine.
The US in cooperation with its western allies is gathering international support to send an unmistakable message to President Putin on his intention of turning the war into a nuclear one, saying such an attempt by President Putin would lead to a global response against Putin and Russia.
With global support for Ukraine ongoing, emphasis on China and India as major powers behind Russia is seen as the nearest possible opinion in bringing the war to an end, as both China and India have enjoyed a close economic relationship with Russia.
China, a major superpower in the world has failed to condemn Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and had maintained a closer tie with Moscow, as both President Xi and Putin recently signed a “no border friendship” a few months back.
The US and its allies are set to put attention on China and India to put pressure on President Putin by alarming them on the danger of going into nuclear war in Ukraine.
According to a U.S official involved in nonproliferation policy said, “both China and India should let President Putin know the degree of how murderous idea on the use of nuclear weapons would be”.
The U.S and its allies are scrambling to get the UN to condemn and take decisive action against Russia by bypassing the Security Council where Russia enjoyed a veto as part of the Council.
According to experts in international studies, they said the just concluded UNGA was a tool of propaganda used by the U.S and her allies in gathering support against Russia to the detriment of other issues.
According to information from U.S intelligence, the agency has been on high alert since President Putin issued his nuclear threat, but they believe to some extent that, Putin won’t go nuclear despite many warnings from him to use it earlier.
The agency believes that they are still under high alert since President Putin’s remark about using every possible means to protect Russia against external attack from the U.S and NATO.
