Ukraine authority has called on NATO to provide unwavering and effective aid to their country, ranging from resources and military weapons in their bid to contain the Russian penetration of their country.
In a televised video conference between President Zelenskyy and the leaders of NATO and G7, in their planned summits in Brussels, President Zelenskyy asserts that the people of Ukraine are expecting serious actions from the Western countries and its Allies to put a halt to Russia aggression.
“We ask that NATO declare that it will fully assist Ukraine to win this war, clear our territory of the invaders and restore peace in Ukraine,” he appealed to the Western countries to stay united in the face of Russia’s efforts to “lobby its interests”, reported.
The invasion has been on run for the past four weeks now, with many casualties on both sides, leaving millions on the side of Ukraine displaced as refugees to other neighboring, with properties destroyed and lives lost, while Russia on the other hand has been hit with crippling economic sanctions by most Western countries.
In his address, President Zelenskyy has also reiterated that the Ukrainian skies are still open to Russian aircraft, which made the missiles attack easy for the Russians, and opt for the closure of Ukraine skies.
In his address, with an appealing tone, he said “by collective responsibility, we should not allow Russia to break or drag anyone in NATO, EU or G7 to the side of war”.
