Anticipation is growing on a large scale as Chinese President, Xi Jinping set for a visit to Saudi Arabia amidst the evolving rivalry between Beijing and Washington in both the political and economic arena.
The report has it that, President Xi’s visit to the Islamic Kingdom will come up in a few days, sending a red alert to US leaders on bolstering diplomatic ties with the Oil rich country after a failed attempt by the US President.
It’s noteworthy that, the United States President, Joe Biden last month visited the Kingdom in his Asia tour, hoping to maintain good diplomatic ties between both countries, but it met with partial success due to US infiltration in the running of every country’s affairs as accused of.
With China President set to visit the Kingdom, a country who have been at loggerhead with the United States over its interest in the Island of Taiwan, it sends a great warning to Washington should both countries come to good terms.
Antecedents have shown that both Riyadh and Beijing have maintained long historical peaceful coexistence together in both political, economic, and social activities, with China not having a negative blueprint for the system of government of Saudi Arabia.
With President Xi set to visit his counterpart in the same continent, an air of optimism on political uprightness, peaceful regional coexistence, and flourishing economic transactions will be the major topic of the visit.
Should President Xi visit the kingdom, the western powers will be on their feet on Riyadh’s stands of choosing a mutual partner for future purposes, and also to see who will be on the good side of the Kingdom between the US and China.
While the Sino-Saudi diplomacy will be focusing on strategic development and economic endowment between both countries, it’s believed that a strike in a deal to provide competition for US Dollar might be on the card as both have previously agreed on the Chinese yuan as a medium of transaction for oil.
Beijing’s infrastructural development over the years has been progressive, which the Saudi Kingdom seems to tap into as it goes in tandem with the Saudi Vision 2030 on economic diversification.
Moving away from the paradigm of oil and infrastructural engagement, both Riyadh and Beijing may be looking forward to strengthening their mutual understanding in the area of astonishing technology, which includes Artificial intelligence, Cyber-securities, defense, and missile development report suggested.
If President Xi’s visit to the kingdom materializes, China will continue to pose a much bigger threat to the hegemony of the US in the Asian continent.
