Victor Osimhen’s future remains uncertain despite Napoli reaching an agreement with Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli for his transfer. While the two clubs have agreed on the deal, the Nigerian striker has not yet approved the move, as he is still in discussions with Chelsea. The Premier League club has sent a delegation to Naples in a last-minute effort to secure his signature before the transfer window closes.
Al Ahli has put forward a highly lucrative offer, proposing a four-year contract worth €30 million per season, which includes a release clause. Additionally, the Saudi club has also reached an agreement with Brentford for Ivan Toney, a striker who was also on Chelsea’s radar.
Although the financial terms from Al Ahli are significantly more attractive than what Chelsea can offer, Osimhen reportedly prefers a move to the English Premier League. The 24-year-old striker is keen on joining Chelsea, and the club’s representatives are currently in Naples to explore all possible options to finalize the transfer.
Napoli has accepted Al Ahli’s €80 million (£67.3 million) offer, which is notably below the €130 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract. Meanwhile, Napoli has already lined up Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea as a potential replacement for Osimhen.
As the transfer window deadline approaches, the final decision rests with Osimhen. The next few days are critical as both clubs vie for his commitment, with a resolution still pending in this high-stakes transfer saga.
