Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Receives First COVID-19 Vaccine in The Kingdom

Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received the first COVID-19 vaccine administered in the kingdom, as part of the national COVID-19 vaccination plan being implemented by the ministry of health, state news agency SPA reported on Friday.

On Friday, 178 new COVID-19 cases and 9 deaths were reported by the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia, taking the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 361,903 and 6,168 deaths.

The total number of cases, 2,920 remain active and 376 in critical condition.

With 44 cases, the region of Riyadh registered the largest number of infections, followed by the regions of Makkah and Madinah with 31 each and the Eastern region with 29 cases.
