The Palestinian Football Association has announced the death of Ahmad Abu al-Atta who played for Al-Ahly in Gaza including his family following a deadly attack on a residential building in occupied Gaza.
According to the report, Ahmad including his wife Ruba Esmael, and their two children were killed in an airstrike attack on Friday.
The Palestinian Football Association describes the death of the Al-Ahly player and his family as a shock, accusing Israel of engaging in genocide by targeting innocent civilians in Gaza.
The death of Ahmad is another among the list of athletes who have lost their lives in Israel’s deadly attack, with recent data showing no less than 300 athletes were affected.
The Palestinian authorities have condemned Israel’s recent actions in Gaza as they targeted refugee camps on Sunday resulting in dozens of deaths and several casualties.
