Senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) convened in New Delhi to discuss forming a new government following their victory in the recent Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, included key figures such as TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu, JD(U) leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan.
During the meeting, the NDA reaffirmed the support given to them by over 1.4 billion Indians who have witnessed the country’s development across all sectors under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the welfare policies of the NDA government.
The Alliance said they take pride in the fact that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections were fought and won by the NDA under the esteemed leadership of Narendra Modi. All NDA leaders unanimously choose Narendra Modi as our leader, the proposal read.
The NDA resolution emphasized the alliance’s commitment to serving marginalized sections of society, highlighting their dedication to the welfare and empowerment of the poor, women, youth, farmers, and other deprived segments of the population.
The resolution, passed during the New Delhi meeting, stated, “Under Mr. Modi’s leadership, the NDA government will continue to work towards comprehensive development and improving the standard of living for every citizen of India.”
The NDA leaders plan to meet President Droupadi Murmu to stake their claim to form the government under Modi’s leadership.
